A value for money approach to the provision of test, evaluation and training support
QinetiQ provides Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Training Support services to MOD under a 25-year contract – the Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA). Many of these services are centrally funded, ensuring maximum value for money for MOD project teams using these facilities and capabilities.
What is the LTPA contract?
The LTPA contract is an innovative partnering approach to managing MOD’s strategic T&E capability. The contract:
- Delivers a better service for less money
- Enables access to QinetiQ’s T&E capabilities and expertise
- Ensures continuous investment in new technology and facilities
- Enables efficient use of facilities
Sites & Ranges
Under the LTPA QinetiQ operates 17 core MOD-owned or leased sites around the UK for test, evaluation and training support.
Under the LTPA, QinetiQ provides innovative and realistic test and evaluation of military and civil platforms, systems, weapons and components on land, at sea and in the air.
The LTPA enables accurate assessment of military capabilities throughout their lifetime, from concept to disposal, increasing reliability and fitness for purpose.
Unmanned Warrior 2016
Unmanned Warrior is the largest ever event of its type with over 500 participants, observers and visitors. The demonstrations are being held off the Scottish and Welsh coasts in October 2016, on ranges managed by QinetiQ on behalf of the MOD as part of the LTPA. QinetiQ has provided logistics and range management expertise to the Royal Navy to ensure a safe and successful event.
